Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Kalaung account and request cleanup of its associated data directly from the app. Follow the steps below to proceed.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Kalaung app on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon from your profile).
  3. Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section.
  4. Tap "Delete account".
  5. Read the 30-day grace period notice and tap "Continue".
  6. Verify your identity with Google or Apple, or use the verification link sent to your account email address.
  7. Tap "Confirm deletion". You will be signed out and your 30-day grace period will begin.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile and username
  • All your works and chapters
  • Your favorites and saved reading progress
  • Your reading history and library
  • Associated account and profile records

Data retention

After you confirm, you are signed out and a 30-day grace period begins. Sign in to the same account within 30 days to cancel deletion and keep your data. If you do not return, your account is permanently deleted and associated data is removed in the background. Cleanup may take additional time. Once deletion starts, it cannot be undone. Some technical records and copies of content already shared, downloaded, or cached may remain, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
